One of the big benefits of porcelain veneers over composite bonding is that they require little maintenance and should be cleaned and treated similarity to your own teeth. They do not stain or change colour. They can however be fragile in certain situations, for example in those who grind their teeth or if there is a strong impact to the veneer. Excess forces such as these can cause the veneer to chip or fracture, so care must always be taken. Veneers cannot be repaired easily and this will often mean it will need replacement.
